Writing for Online Sites

I'm a newbie when it comes to writing for online sites. I just started researching the various online sites that freelance writers can submit their articles to a few months ago.

So far the online sites that I write for where I acutally make a few $$ are Associated Content and Suite101. I am the Herbs & Spices Feature Writer on Suite101 and a Content Producer on Associated Content. In future articles I will detail my experiences writing for these two sites.

I maintain three blogs over here on Orble, I Love Herbs, The Pagan Path and Freelance Online Work. I've only been blogging since October so I haven't made any money yet through Google Adsense. But it can take awhile for a new blog to start generating alot of traffic so I just need to be patient. So far all the blogs are generating a decent amount of traffic so that's a positive.

I'm also researching a few other online writing sites such as Demand Studios, Catalogs.com and Garden & Hearth. Future articles will include details on these sites and more.

Lynn,

Suite 101 sounds fascinating! I'll have to consider joining. Thanks for the tip!

Hi Jeanne,

I just joined another online writing site today - Helium.com. Too soon to tell if I'll actually make any $$ or not.

I plan on writing in-depth blogs about each of the online sites I write for. The good, the bad and the ugly!

Take care,
Lynn

Hi, Lynn!

I've been a member of Helium since 12/29/06 and have about 48 or 49 articles on the site, but I've yet to receive my first $25 revenue share payment. As of today, a few days over one year after joining, my balance stands at $22.98, so I guess it will be a few more months before I hit the $25 threshhold required for requesting payment--a long wait for a mere $25!

I'm hoping Suite 101 will prove more lucrative than Helium has!

Jeanne
