The print magazine, launched in 1970, is a bimonthly with a circulation of 1 million. Submissions are welcome for two departments: "Country Lore" and "Firsthand Reports from the Field." "Country Lore" presents handy how-to tips of 100 to 300 words. "Firsthand Reports from the Field" are first-person stories (1,500 to 2,000 words) about sustainable lifestyles of all sorts. The editors encourage potential contributors to read several back issues of the magazine first.
